Marlene Pyatt Shoenthal of Quakertown Pa, died May 31, 2012 at St. Lukes Hospice Home in Bethlehem, PA. She was 77. She was the wife of the late Dr. James Shoenthal of New Hope, PA. Born December 2, 1935 in Stockton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Pyatt and Sarah (Bray) Pyatt. A graduate of Flemington High School, she worked in Flemington, NJ before moving to New Hope, where she worked as an administrative assistant at New Hope-Solebury High School until her retirement. She was a member of the Church of the Incarnation in Quakertown where she served as a vestry member. She was active in the Women's Club of Quakertown and a member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution. She is survived by her daughter, Yvonne Ort-Sullivan; two grandaughters; two sisters, Evelyn Crone of Quakertown, and Ruth Grafton of Pennington, NJ; and many nieces and nephews. Requiem Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 7 at the Church of the Incarnation, 44 South 8th St., Quakertown, PA. Interment will follow at a later date at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Hunterdon County, NJ. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Incarnation Memorial Fund at the above address.
