Margarete Lieu

Margarete M. Van Lieu, 73, of Hereford, previously of Quakertown died Mon., Nov. 8th in her home. She was the wife of Robert B. Van Lieu. They were married for 32 years in July. Born in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Gustav and Karoline (Schadler) Baumann. As an LPN she worked as a supervisor in the central supply department at Quakertown Hospital for 20 years before retiring in 1994. Surviving with her husband, sons, George A. Pasternak and wife Michele of Pennsburg; Michael F. Pasternak and wife JoAnn of Quakertown; Steven G. Pasternak and wife Terri of Telford; daughter, Irene Bishop, husband Sterling of Perkasie; step-son, Vincent R. and wife Bonita of Breinigsville; Matthew H. and wife Vickie of Whitehall; Diana Cohen and husband Andrew of Ocala, FL; 19 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by son, Peter J. Pasternak. Funeral service will be held 1:30 pm Thurs., Nov. 11 at Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Road, Quakertown.
