June 4, 1942 — March 26, 2020

Margaret G. Treffinger, age 77, of Richlandtown, Pennsylvania, passed away on March 26, 2020 at Phoebe Richland Healthcare Center in Richlandtown. She was the loving partner to Floyd "Epp" Miller. Born in Quakertown, PA she was a daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Ort) Gares. Margaret graduated from Quakertown High School in 1960. Following graduation, she attended cosmetology school in Norristown, then worked several years as a beautician. She worked at Quaker Safety Co, in Quakertown for 7 years and previously worked at DeLoux, Inc. in Sellersville for 10 years. She was a member of First United Church of Christ in Quakertown. Ciss, as she was known by most people, loved animals and always had a menagerie in her home. She enjoyed decorating her home, eating out, and her passion was shopping...........just ask any family member! She will be remembered for her generosity, her cheerfulness despite numerous health problems, and her laughter. Spending time at the family home in Wildwood was a high point of every summer. She is survived by her son Thomas Treffinger, her daughter Tammy Kratz, her grandson Andrew Kratz and his wife Stephanie, and her granddaughter Victoria Kratz. She is also survived by her great grandchildren Kayden, Olivia, and Parker. Others in her family include her sister Sue Farrell and her husband Harry, her niece Judith Northrop and her nephew Jonathan Farrell (and their families) and several cousins. Due to state regulations and the COVID-19, services and interment will be held privately. Memorial contributions can be made to First United Church of Christ or any animal charity of your choice.
