Louise Bartholomew

d. January 1, 2013

Louise Frances Bartholomew died peacefully Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013 in Woodbridge, Va. Louise was born Jan. 11, 1917 to William Charles Weber and Thora Christine Helsengreen in Darby, Pa. Louise married Miles Franklin Bartholomew on Jan. 17, 1933 and enjoyed over 60 years of marriage before Frank passed away in 1995. Louise served as a forelady at the Alleghenny Ribbon Mill in Quakertown, until 1970, where she lived for most of her childhood and adult life. Louise and Frank enjoyed many good years with family and friends during their retirement in Arizona and later Florida. Louise moved to Virginia in 2001 to be closer to family and lived happily at Westminster at Lakeridge for over ten years. Survivors include her half-sister, Jackie Levy of Bethlehem, Pa. and her step-sister, Evelyn Trumbauer of Quakertown; her nieces: Peggy Martin of Cortland, N.Y., Dannie Sullivan of Austin, Texas, Debbie Levy of Marlton, N.J. and Dolly Bilger of Quakertown; one nephew, Woody Levy of Pennsylvania; and many grand-nieces and nephews. Her nearest family members, who survive, are her grand-niece, Suey Nordberg, her husband, Martin and their daughters, Melody, Molly and Emily. Louise brought joy to many people through her vivid stories and sharp wit, and she will be missed. There will be no funeral or calling hours. Interment will be in Union Cemetery in Quakertown, at the convenience of the family.
