Loretta Bauer

Loretta M. Bauer, 80, of Quakertown, left Good Shepherd Specialty Hospital in Bethlehem and went to a better place on Thursday, June 18. Born in Northampton, she was a daughter of the late George and Evelyn (Butz) Schaffer. She was the beloved wife of William R. Bauer, to whom she was married for nearly 62 years. In addition to her family, Loretta loved sewing, cooking, playing word finds, and enjoying cruises in the Caribbean. She was also an avid sports fan. In addition to her husband, Loretta is survived by sons Steve Bauer, Jeff Bauer and wife Jackie, Chris Bauer and girlfriend Kyle; grandchildren Damian and Josh; sister MaryAnn Young and husband Donald; brother George Schaffer and wife Joyce; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by sisters Betty, Lorraine, and Phyllis, and by a brother, Joseph. A graveside service will be held 11 am Sat. July 18 in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Coplay, PA.
