Linford "Linnie" Foulke, III, 68, of Quakertown, died Mon, July 16, 2012 in St. Luke's Hospice House, Bethlehem. Born in Quakertown, he was the son of the late Linford, Jr. and Marguerite (Wolfe) Foulke. He was a 1961 graduate of Quakertown High School. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Quakertown. He served in the US Army. He worked side by side with his father at Linford Foulke & Sons, a dry beef distributor established by his father in 1947. The business was later sold to E.W. Knauss & Son, where Linnie continued to work as a supervisor until his retirement. His goal was to pay tribute to his father, and this year he was finally able to do so by completing a hand-made sign honoring his father's business, which was placed on the original smoke house. Linnie was a Quakertown icon. He was always the life of the party, no matter where he was. He loved collecting coins and antiques, his collectible classic cars, road trips in his Jaguar and Porsche, gardening, and his dog Sam. Surviving; Sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Courtney; brother, Jack R.; nieces and nephews: Craig and Karen Courtney, Jon and Joann Courtney, Carol and Tim Heverly, all of Quakertown; grand nieces and nephews: Jonnie, Janelle, Tyler, Courtney and Kelsey.
