Linda Root

Linda Anne Root, age 68, of Quakertown, PA passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital - Upper Bucks Campus, Quakertown. Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna R. (Placchetti) Burns. She graduated from Conwell Catholic High School in 1970. For 20 years she worked as a Toll Collector for the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Linda was a very thoughtful and caring person. She would be the first one to help anyone in need. Family was a big part of Linda's life, she loved and cared for everyone! Most of her recent years were devoted to her grandchildren who were the light of her life! She enjoyed to go out to eat with family and friends whenever she could. Surviving is her daughter: Heather Simon, husband Chris, grandchildren: Dakota and Tanner Simon, sister: Barbara Geiss, husband Mike and brother: John Burns, wife Debbie and nephews & nieces: Ryan Geiss (Casey), Kristin Posey (James), Amanda Zumpfe (Bobby) and Johnny Burns (Michele). You are invited to visit with Linda's family and friends on Sunday, March 21, 2021 from 11:00-12:00 PM at the Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, PA 18951.
