Larry C. "Whitey" Blowars, 71, of Quakertown, died Thursday, October 4 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born March 26, 1947 in Doylestown, he was a son of the late Clinton & Naomi (Berks) Blowars. He was the husband of Lynn (Menihan) Blowars for the past 49 years. Prior to retiring, he was a shift supervisor for Tinicum Research. Larry also served his country in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Tinicum Gun Club & the Quakertown American Legion, Post #242, and also a member of St. Isidore's Roman Catholic Church, Quakertown. In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons Larry & wife Lillian and Thomas & wife Jamie, both of Quakertown; daughter Jennifer & companion Mary of East Greenville; a brother George & wife Carole in Montana; sisters Cheryl wife of Richard Kelly of Winter Haven, FL and Tina Marko of Chattahoochee, FL; grandchildren: Alexa Blowars, Brianna Blowars, Kayla Bright and husband David Bright, Shane Blowars, and Riley Blowars; great-grandsons: Oliver Blowars-Bright and Finley Bright. He was predeceased by a sister, Donna Blowars. Memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 13 at 1:00pm at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Road; Quakertown, PA 18951. A calling hour from 12-1:00pm will precede the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, Finance Department, 30 E. 33rd Street, New York, NY 10016.
