Kenneth Earl Weiss August 4, 1943 - April 13, 2012 Our beloved Ken passed away on April 13 and now rests in complete peace. He will be remembered for his quiet strength, kindness, and how he embodied great courage in the face of life's challenges. He carried with him at all times a sense of humor, moral conviction and a "get up - get on with it" demeanor even during times of great physical suffering. He was an inspiration to many because of this. He quietly reconnected and found comfort while walking in nature, riding the mower to care for his expansive lawns, working in his gardens, or simply sitting and watching his beloved dogs as they played. Unconditionally he loved his family and friends. He was the first to stop and help, gracious with the colorful and tasty bounty of his vegetable garden, provided love and safe refuge for dozens of rescue dogs. Yearly lit up an impressive Christmas display for all who passed by to enjoy. He will be missed and remembered by many. The youngest of 4 siblings, Ken is survived by Barbara Lachimia-Weiss, his wife and best friend of 38 years. His sister Alma Hartner, daughters Terry & Karen Weiss, many nieces, nephews, extended family members and countless life long friends. A celebration of his life will be held this summer enjoying a BBQ with family and friends at his home of 30 years where he enjoyed being the most. In Lieu of flowers, Ken's family would be delighted if you would make a donation to your local animal rescue organization in his honor.
