Kathryn G. "Kay" Lowman, 94 Sellersville died Sat., June 9 in Rockhill Mennonite Community, Sellersville. She was the wife of the late Galen E. Lowman She worked as a secretary, for UGI Corp at the former Quakertown office. She worked as a sales clerk at the former Leh's & Hess's Dept. Store, Quakertown for many years. Prior to that she also worked for the former local Draft Board. She was a graduate of Bethlehem Business College Born in Redington, Northampton Co., PA she was the daughter of the late Warren L. and Rosa C. (Strock) Gross. Kay was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Quakertown, where she taught Sunday school and was past president of Lutheran Church Women. She was very active in the community serving as member of the Quakertown BPW, and former member of the Quakertown Historial Society. She served as past president & treasurer for Richland One Room School Historical Society. She was past president and VP of the Upper Bucks Sr. Citizens, past president and secretary for the former Upper Bucks Art League. She also volunteered for many years at the Michener Art Center and Redman House, Doylestown. She served a number of years as the community information counselor and tax aide for AARP, Quakertown. She enjoyed being a member of the Pennridge Merrymakers for 22 years She is survived by daughters: Donna Kay Bossert (Steward), Grove City, OH, Gayle Farr (Roger), England Rosalie Eldevik (Bruce), St. Paul MN, sister: Arlene G. Kinsey, Sellersville, brother: Warren R. Gross, Hellertown, 4 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter. Preceded in death by sister, Virginia Krizan Funeral services will be 2:30 pm Thurs., June 14 in St. John's Lutheran Church, 19 South 10th St., Quakertown. A brief memorial service will be Thurs. June 14 at 11:00 am at Rockhill Mennonite Community, 3250 State Road, Sellersville. Interment in Quakertown Union Cemetery. Call Thurs. June 14 from 1:30-2:30 pm at the church.
