Kaia Nicole Decesare aka “Mrs. Bear” passed away peacefully on April 19, 2020, at age 13 after a courageous battle with many life-long medical conditions resulting from a brain injury in-utero. She was the loving daughter of Kristina (Massey) Robinson, stepfather John Robinson, and Christopher DeCesare. She was born in Sellersville, PA on January 29, 2007, and was not expected to live past age 5. On her 4th birthday she took a Make a Wish Trip to the Give the Kids the World Village in Orlando, Florida with her family, where she was given the royal treatment like the true Princess that she was.

Kaia had many physical limitations but had a smile that lit up the room. Everyone who knew Kaia loved her. She was smart, sweet, and determined. She loved Disney Princess movies, her many friends at school, music, and amusement park rides. Kaia greeted everyone like they were her long-lost best friend, and it was a pure joy to be in her presence.

Besides her parents, she is survived by her brothers, Christopher Jr., Caden, and Chase DeCesare, and Vaughn Robinson; sisters, DeAnna Meckling-Peruto and Marli Robinson; grandparents, Harry and Rose Massey, Fred and Mary Jane Robinson, Joe and Lucille Hayes, and Don and Bonnie Eskildsen; aunts and uncles, Linda Massey, Nicole DeCesare, Scott Massey, Steve and Melissa Altieri, Michael and Maureen Miccoli, Bill and Linda Kamin, and Adrienne Hayes; and several cousins. She was predeceased by grandmothers, Deborah Galbraith and Carol (McBride) Asha, and grandfather, Michael DeCesare. She is also deeply missed by her many dedicated nurses, teachers, and medical providers including her favorite nurse of almost 12 years, “Nurse Joyce” Benes.

Due to COVID-19, a Celebration of Life will be planned for later this year
