Joseph E. Johnson, 83, died Sunday, Dec. 29th, at his home, with his wife, Mildred (Permar) Johnson by his side. Joseph and Mildred celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in June with a cruise to Bermuda in Sept. He was known to his family as "Bud" and friends as "Jadie". He was a Korean War Veteran, serving two tours of duty in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a printing press operator at Paramount Packaging, Chalfont, for 30 years prior to his retirement in 1993. He was a sports enthusiast, traveling to Clearwater, FL, for the Phillies spring training and attending all of his son's and grandchildrens' sporting events. Surviving his wife are his son, Eric (Patricia); daughter, Adeline Giblin (Thomas); grandchildren Kristen Hack (Bryan) and Matthew; a great-granddaughter due in April; brothers, Richard (Daisy), Ronnie Wood, Wayne Wood (Vera); sisters, Bernadette Jones (Courtland-deceased) and Norma Reimer (Pete). He was predeceased by a daughter, Cindy Lou, and a brother Lewis Wood. A memorial service will be held on Fri, January 3rd at 10:30AM at Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service,135 W.
