Jon Nice

Jon P. Nice, 80, of Telford, passed away Thursday, July 18 at the Lutheran Community at Telford. Born in Sellersville, he was the son of the late Harry & Emma (Petrie) Nice. He was the beloved husband of Loretta (Hager) Nice for the past 59 years. He was of the Lutheran faith. Jon was a member of the Souderton-Harleysville Gun Club for many years and was a member of the NRA, He enjoyed bowling, hunting & fishing, and was an avid NASCAR fan. Dale Earnhardt Sr. & Kevin Harvick were his favorite drivers. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John of Coopersburg (Jane) and Paul of Schwenksville (Maggie); two daughters, Karen Statuti of Pennsburg (John) and Cheryl Zdon of Harleysville (John); 11 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a grandson Isaac Zdon in 1989 and a great-granddaughter Emma Deiley in 2016. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 24 at 11:00am at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951. A calling hour from 10-11am will precede the service in the funeral home. Interment to follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park. www.nauglefcs.com
