John Stahr

John E. Stahr Sr., 84, of Quakertown, died Tues. Dec. 3rd at his home. He was the husband of Mary (Durn) Stahr for 64 years. Born in Quakertown, he was the son of the late Ralph and Delilah (Weikel) Stahr. He was a 1946 graduate of Quakertown High School where he was class Vice President. He was a locomotive engineer for the Reading Railroad, Conrail and Septa for 40 years prior to his retirement in 1991. He was a member of the Quakertown Lodge No. 512 F&AM, Lehigh Consistory, the Rajah Shrine, and the Order of the Eastern Star, Lenape Chapter 339. Surviving: Wife; Son, John Jr. of Bethlehem; Daughter, Susan Ketterer of Quakertown; Grandchildren; Nicole Ketterer and Heather Blanchard, husband Kevin; Great-Grandchildren; Kai, Kendall, Madison, Austin and Aidan. Masonic Services: 11:30 Fri. Dec. 6th at Quakertown United Methodist Church, 1875 Freier Rd., Quakertown, memorial services immediately after. Call 10-11:30 at the church.
