John J. Lempa, 94, of Quakertown died Thursday May 16, 2013 in the Hospice House of the VNA of St. Luke's. He was married to the late Mary T. (Jendzura) Lempa, celebrating 58 years of marriage. Born September 9, 1918 in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Joseph J. and Sophia (Klusek) Lempa. John was a machinist for 60 years, working for several tool and die manufacturers in the Bucks County are retiring in 1992. John served his country in the United States Navy during WWII, where he served aboard the USS Charles Carroll, a repair ship, deployed to fix other U.S. war ships in the Pacific Theater. He was a member of St. Isidore's Roman Catholic Church, 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd. Quakertown, PA. John was also a 3rd degree Knight of Columbus Quakertown. Survived by, Son; James J. Lempa, wife Patricia of Churchville, PA, Daughters; Janice E. Paget, husband Frank of Quakertown, Katherine Maynard, husband Russell of Warrington, Sisters; Marie Szczeniak of Hazelton, PA, Anna Sabina of Hatboro, PA, Grandchildren; Marc, Keith, Lorraine, Russell III, Matthew, Kristen, James, and Robert, Great Grandchildren; Amber, Christopher, Aiden, Taylor Maynard, and Taylor Lempa. He was pre-deceased by Brothers; Frank, Edmund, Casimer, and Matthew, Sisters; Cecelia Lubinski, Helen Chybinski, Josephine Borek. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday May 24, 2013 in the St. Isidore's Catholic Church, 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd, Quakertown at 11:00 AM. A viewing will be held from 9:30 until 10:30 am in the Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd, Quakertown. Interment will be held in the Our Lady of Czestochowa cemetery, Doylestown, PA.
