John "Jack" Lawrence Harper, age 76, died Fri. Feb. 28, 2020, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest, Allentown, PA. after a long battle with cancer. Born July 4, 1943 in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia, he was the son of the late John and Pearl (Ferdinand) Harper, and the beloved husband of Sharon (Marten) Harper, with whom he just celebrated 55 years of marriage on February 13, 2020. John proudly served his country with distinction in the U.S. Marine Corps. Afterward, he had a 27 year career at Artco Corporation, in Hatfield. Where he designed and sold warehouse rack storage systems. He was most recently employed, for 16 years, at Arbor Material Handling Corporation, Willow Grove, handling inside sales. He enjoyed golf, fishing and was an avid reader. He also enjoyed spending time with family and loved to travel. In addition to his loving wife, John is survived by: son John Harper (wife Tammy); daughters Jill Gosztonyi (husband Charles), and Amy Schad; grandchildren Karee Schad, Sarah Gosztonyi, Patrick Schad, Nathan Gosztonyi, Jordyn Harper, and Sophia Harper; and sister Mary Anne Werner (husband William). A memorial service will be held at 1 PM on Sat. March 7 at Naugle Funeral and Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. Calling hours will be from 12 pm until the time of service. Interment will be held privately at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Monday March 9th.
