John Gordon Haney, 90, of Quakertown, Pa passed away at the residence of his daughter and son-in-law, Charles and Donna Doyle on Thursday, October 14th, 2021, at his residence. Born in Frenchtown, NJ, he was the son of the late John H. and Mary (Gordon) Haney.
After High School, John served his country in the United States Navy. After his service, John worked with his father as a plumber. He then worked at the Riegel Paper Mill, where he was employed until his retirement.
John lived in Upper Black Eddy for many years while raising his family. He then lived in Bushkill, PA in his beloved home for many years.
In his spare time, John was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and birdwatching. He also enjoyed gardening, where he was especially proud of his roses.
John is survived by children, Sheila Kaisen (Ron), Donna Doyle (Charles), Ramona Whitehead (Charles), John Haney (Debbie), Julia Herrick (Gerry), siblings, Elva Guttman, Lawrence Haney, Frances Dybas, 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife Julia (Garris) Haney and his brother Michael.
Services will be held at Naugle Funeral & Cremation 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA, 18951, at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 19th, 2021. Friends may call from 12-1 prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist, R.C.C., Ottsville to their building fund. 4050 Durham Rd, Ottsville, PA 18942
