Jeannine Ruppert

October 1, 1936 — June 13, 2020

Jeannine Ruppert, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, died on Saturday morning, June 13, 2020. Jeannine, a resident of Quakertown, PA, was born on October 1, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Rose Anna "Rosie" Schlegel Roehm, age 18, and John Joseph Roehm, age 23. Jeannine is preceded in death by her siblings Kathleen and John. She is survived by her brother, William Dunn, her son Jeffrey Smith and his wife, Jaime, her son Gregory Smith Sr. and his wife, Janet, her daughter, Cindy Smith, her 6 grandchildren and their families: Anissa Haney, Ashlie Smith, Rebecca Dunkerton, Brittany Smith, Gregory Smith Jr., and Carly Smith, her 14 great grandchildren, and her cousin, Christine Schlegel Shinn. Jeannine, known as "Mommom" to many, was devoted to her family. She was the Executive Administrative Assistant for Selective Insurance for many years and retired in 2007. Jeannine was quite a "renaissance woman." Growing up, she was a strong athlete, leading her field hockey and softball teams. She was also a talented writer, penning the words to her high school (Del Haas) Alma Mater school song in Bristol, PA. She was a gifted dancer and especially loved to dance the Charleston. Once, she even appeared on television as a jitterbug girl on the Bob Horn Show, called American Bandstand in the early 1950s. Most of all, Jeannine will be remembered for her sense of humor, her warmth, and her love and compassion that she showed each person as she genuinely took an interest and cared for them. She is now at peace in the arms of her loving Savior, Jesus. Services and interment will be held privately. Arrangements are by Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, Ltd. of Quakertown. 215-536-3343.
