James W. Haverty, 74, of Coopersburg, previously of Woburn, Mass., died Wed, Nov. 23 at his home. He was the husband of Michelle (Brault) Haverty, with whom he had celebrated 50 years of marriage. Born in Woburn, Mass., he was a son of the late William and Cecelia (Miner) Haverty. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp. Jim was a member of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Limeport, and a member of AA for 24 years. Surviving with wife, children: Marie-Louise Fritz, husband William, Allentown; Ann-Marie Keck, husband Lynn, Hellertown; Donna-Marie Houck, husband Les, Fountain Hill; Michael Haverty, companion Joy Smith, Coopersburg; and Heather-Marie Haverty, Coopersburg; grandchildren: Alicia, Mathew, Kevin, Michael, Cassandra, Melissa, Andrea, Kavanna, Tim, Devin, Damian, Rebecca, Hunter and Trent; great-grandson, John; brother, Richard Haverty, wife Cheryl, Lunenburg, Mass.; sisters: Joan Callahan, and Mary Landry, husband Kenneth, both Woburn, Mass; sister-in-law, Helene Corbett; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandson, Edward Haverty, Jr.; and brother, Jerome Haverty. Funeral Mass will be held on Wed, Nov. 30 at 11 a.m. in St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 5050 St. Joseph's Rd., Coopersburg. Call: 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at Jeffrey A.
