James A. Cressman, 90, passed away at Phoebe Richland Nursing Center in Richlandtown on Sun., Dec. 3, 2017. He was the loving husband of Fern A. (Shearer) Cressman for 71 years. Born in Perkasie, he was a son of the late Arthur and Flora (Wimmer) Cressman. He was a 1945 graduate of the former Sell-Perk High School. For over 52 years, Jim was a floor manager of Associated Rubber, Inc. in Quakertown. Jim was an animal lover who bred and raised German Shepherds, and was a Philadelphia Eagles fan. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, boating on the Chesapeake in Maryland, hunting in Potter County and camping with the "Pennridge Campers" - a name coined by Jim, Fern and a group of their friends. Surviving with Fern are their daughters: Candace Hangey, husband William, Sr. of Quakertown and Jaime Cressman, life partner Alan Breyer of Sneads Ferry, NC; grandchildren: Melissa (Jason), William, Jr. (Chrissy), Brent (Jillianne) and Michael; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria M. Cressman. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thur., Dec. 7 in Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, with a viewing beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment in Tohickon Union Cemetery, Perkasie. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Last Chance Ranch, 9 Beck Road, Quakertown, PA 18951.
