James Russell Breisch Sr.
James “Jim” Russell Breisch Sr., 92, of Richlandtown, PA, passed away on May 31st, 2024, at Phoebe Richland Meadows. Born in Warrington, PA, Jim was the son of the late Charles Breisch and the late Lizzie (Nace) Breisch.
Jim grew up in Sumneytown, PA, and attended school in Kulpsville. After school, Jim worked for Guy Heavener Custom Farming. Later, Jim proudly joined the United States Army, dedicating his life to serving his country and fighting in the Korean War. When Jim returned home from the service, he became a carpenter with United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America until he retired. After retiring, he spent a lot of time camping and traveling across the United States with his wife. They spent their winters in Florida.
Jim was a man of strong faith, he shared his faith through his words and his actions. He was a practicing member at East Swamp Church in Quakertown. Jim loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved his family deeply and cherished the time spent with them above all else. Jim made an enormous impact in every life he touched.
Jim will be dearly missed by his wife, Dorothy (Fels) Breisch, together they shared 71 years of marriage; his children, Sandra Rodenberger and James Breisch Jr. (Debbie); his grandchildren, Kathy Brewer (Nathan), Joseph Breisch (Taylor-predeceased), Adam Breisch (Sara), Ryan Rodenberger (Jessica), Christopher Rodenberger (Tessa), and Ashley Rodenberger; his brother, Charles Breisch (Bonnie) and 11 great-grandchildren. Jim is predeceased by his son, Jeffrey Breisch and his sister, Clara Schaffer (Laverne).
All are invited to visit with Jim’s family on Thursday, June 6th, from 3:00PM ~ 4:00PM, located at East Swamp Church, 2405 E. Swamp Road, Quakertown, PA 18951. A memorial service will begin at 4:00PM. Burial will occur privately on Friday, June 7th.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jim’s name to the American Cancer Society.
