James Brant

James W. "Jim" Brant, Sr., 68, of Quakertown, passed away peacefully on Mon, Nov. 12, 2012. He was the beloved husband of Donna M. (Welsh) Brant, with whom he had celebrated 47 years of marriage. He was a self-employed mechanic, and ran Brant's Auto Salvage for 30 years before retiring the business to his sons in 2011. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Warren G., Sr. and Elizabeth M. (Deeny) Brant. Jim grew up in the North Wales area and graduated from Lansdale Catholic H.S. class of 1963. He was a member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church, Quakertown. Jim loved Nascar, car shows and working on old cars, especially '57 Chevys, Corvettes and old Chevy trucks. Surviving with wife, children: Lisa K. Battistoni, husband Ron, Quakertown; Donna M. Eisenhart, husband Brian, Coopersburg; James W., Jr., Quakertown and Michael B., wife Denna, Perkasie; grandchildren: Zachery and Jordan Storat, Tyler Battistoni, Lukas and Grace Eisenhart, Lora and Michael Brant, Jr., and Britny Wismer; great grandchildren: Makayla Quinn Storat and Nathan Freed; siblings: Alice Flexer, husband Ray, Sr., Perkasie; Joyce Hirthler, husband Craig, Perkiomenville; Thomas, wife Vicky, Pennsburg; Warren, Jr., North Wales; William, Sr., wife Crystal, Red Hill; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a half-sister, Peggy Abbonizzio. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sat, Nov. 17 at 12 noon in St. Isidore's Catholic Church, 2545 W. Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, PA 18951. Call: 10 am - 12 noon Sat at the church. Interment in St. Isidore's Catholic Cemetery.
