Jack R. Adams, 73, of Zion Hill, died Monday, January 25th in his home. He was the loving husband of Audrey (George) Adams, celebrating 51 years of marriage August 9, 2009. Born in Allentown, son of the late Brighton and Janice (DeLong) Adams. He was a 1954 graduate of Quakertown High School. He served with the U.S. Air Force 1954-1958. In 1962 he received his bachelors degree in education and later his Masters from West Chester University. He taught elementary education for the Pennridge School District from 1962-1992 before retiring. Post retirement he was a tour escort for Perkiomen Tours. Jack was an active member of First Church of the Brethren, Quakertown where he had served as Deacon, Youth Group leader, Sunday School teacher and sang on the Choir. He sang with the Zion Choral society for 34 years and had served as activities director at Boulder Woods Campground. Surviving: wife; sons, Scott, wife Robin of Sellersville; Gary, wife Andrea of Kintnersville; grandchildren, Courtney, Tasia, Christopher and Trey. Sisters, Nareeta Seyler ,Fogelsville, Jill Steffanides, husband Robert, Bethlehem; nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by sister, Joyce and brother-in-law, James Seyler. Services will be held 11:00 am Sat, Jan. 30 in the church. Call at the church 7:00-9:00 pm Friday, Jan. 29 and 10:00-11:00 am Saturday. Interment: Springfield Brethren Cemetery.
