Isidro "Sid" D. Arana, Jr., 80, of Quakertown, died Tues., Nov. 15th at LifeQuest Nursing Center in Quakertown. He was the beloved husband of Virginia (Trumbauer) Arana for the past 30 years. Born in Bryn Mawr, he was a son of the late Isidro Sr. and Elizabeth (Honrubia) Arana. He worked for American Olean Tile for 17 years. Sid was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed spending time in the mountains in Bradford county. He was also a skilled woodworker; one of his most prized creations was an ark which he hand crafted for his granddaughter, including two of every animal going up the ramp. With his wife, he is survived by daughter Debbie Arana; stepdaughter Barb Thompson; grandchildren Kiersten Yeakel, Breanna Thompson, Shannon Thompson, and Allisin Drum; three great-grandchildren; brothers Gordon and Lyle; and sisters Gail and Faithe. He is preceded in death by daughter Diana Arana and sister Dixie Callahan. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
