Homer J. Hall of Quakertown, PA, died peacefully on March 1st, 2024, at the age of 85. 

Homer is survived by his wife, Donna J. Hall, who he was married to for 41 years. He is also survived by his 5 children, Steven Hall and wife, Dana, of Bath, PA; Scott Hall and wife, Becky, of Chalfont, PA; Sherrill Miller and husband, Mike, of Northumberland, PA; Robert Smith of Spinnerstown, PA; and Kimberly Smith Hamada of Doylestown, PA. Homer was dedicated to his 9 grandchildren; Chase, Chad, Lauren, Lindsay, Cassidy, Chloe, Luke, Eric, and Morgan. Homer is also survived by his siblings, Dale Hall and Dorris Buchanan. 

Homer was born on January 30, 1939, to Jay and Mabel Hall of Hartsville, PA. He graduated from William Tennent High School in 1956. He was employed by Merck & Co., West Point, PA, for 36 years, after which time he retired from his position as Fire Chief. 

Homer was dedicated to his family and community and that was evident by his passion for firefighting. He was a Life Member and Chief of the Hartsville Fire Company and a Life Member of the Bucks Co. Fire Chief’s Assoc. He was President of the Meshoppen fire Co. and Treasurer of the Rush Fire Co. while living in Susquehanna County. Other affiliations were with the PA Keystone Fire Chiefs, the International Assoc. of Fire Chiefs, Richland Twp. Fire & Rescue, PA, State Fire Instruction Bucks County, and the National Rifle Assoc. 

When Homer’s children were younger, he was Vice President of Warrington AA and managed many baseball teams over the years. He was a great teacher and storyteller and encouraged his children and grandchildren to work hard and pursue their goals.
