Herbert H. Kressler, 97, of Emmaus, passed away, Sunday, April 18 at home. He was the husband of Ida Venus (Quay) Kressler, they celebrated 71 years of marriage last December. Born in Springfield Twp., Bucks Co he was a son of the late Herbert S. and Meda (Balliet) Kressler. He was the owner of the former H.H. Kressler Wholesale Meat Packing Company, Quakertown for 25 years. Following the sale of his business, he was a meat inspector with the U.S.D.A & PA Dept. of Agricultural for 8 years. He was a member of St. Matthews Evangelical Congregational Church, Emmaus. Surviving with his wife, daughter, Marcia K. Detweiler and husband John of Bethlehem; son, Herbert H. Jr. of Woodbridge, VA; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; brothers, Montford and wife Esther of Spring Hill, FL, Kenneth of Loveland, CO; sister, Sylvia Mease and husband George of Kintnersville.
