Helen (Honey) E. Stahl Berwind, née Lear, 74, of Quakertown, died suddenly on Wed. July 22nd in Doylestown Hospital. Born in Abington, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Frances (Young) Lear. Helen was a devout member of St. Isidore's Catholic Church. She worked on the production line at Richardson-Vicks for 25 years, and she worked in the cafeteria at Strayer Middle School for the past 7 years. She was an avid lover of her family, friends, and the Philadelphia Eagles. She also enjoyed her weekly trips to the casino. She will be forever missed. She is survived by her son David Berwind and wife Jean of Quakertown; daughter Susan Stieber and husband Joel of Stevens; sister Grace Nicholson; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother William Gebhardt and by her beloved Nanny and Poppy. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM, Tues. July 28th at St. Isidore's Catholic Church, 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. A calling hour will precede the service from 10:00-11:00 AM at the church. Interment in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery, Glenside. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Helen's memory to St. Isidore's Catholic Church, 2545 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951.
