Heather Stamm Vassa, 70, of Center Valley, died Thurs. Apr. 16 in St. Luke's University Hospital-Bethlehem. She was loving wife of Frank M. Vassa for the past 22 years. Heather worked with her mother in the operation of Belle Haven Nursing Home, Quakertown for 42 years becoming the Administrator & Owner following her mother's death in 1995 and retired following the sale of the business. Born in Bridgeton, NJ she was a daughter of the late Wendell B. and Sally (Ling) Stamm. She has been an active member of the Quakertown community, serving over 25 years on the Board of Directors of the Children's Developmental Program including a number of years as President, the Board of St. Luke's-Quakertown Hospital over 10 years, membership in Rotary, where she was welcomed as one of the first female members and the Upper Bucks Chamber of Commerce. She was a past president of the PA Healthcare Association. Surviving with her husband, step-children, Melinda "Lynn" Wolfe, husband Marty and John Vassa, all of Pennsburg; brother, Timothy Stamm of Zionsville; sisters Susan S. Mincavage, husband Joseph of Tamaqua, Bonnie Kline, Bridgeton, NJ & Shelly S. Berg, husband Dana of Schnecksville; grandchildren Josh & Alyssa Wolfe & numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews. Funeral services will be held Tues. April 21st 11 am in the Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. Interment will follow in Woodland Cemetery, Coopersburg. Family & friends are invited to call at the funeral home Monday April 20th 6 - 9 PM or Tues. 10 - 11 AM.
