Heather Meriah Slagel, 42, of Emmaus, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family after losing her battles with breast cancer. She was born in Abington on April 12, 1982 to Lyne (Graham) Slagel and the late Joseph Slagel Sr. Heather was an extremely, loyal, fierce, caring, and loving person. She remained creative till the end of her life, making paint by numbers art for those dearest to her. Music was huge in her life. She was a big supporter of the Philly hip-hop scene and loved all genres of music. She was always attending concerts with her mom, brother, and many friends. She enjoyed fishing with her bonus dad Scott. Heather was an avid activist for a variety of causes, with women's rights the nearest and dearest to her heart. She always wanted to right whatever wrongs she could.
Her workplace family was Keycodes (Inspection Agency) in Bethlehem & she loved her job as a building code official.
Heather is survived by her mother Lyne Miller; brother Joseph Slagel Jr.; step-father Scott Miller; grandparents Edwin and Joyce Graham; Uncles David Graham and Edwin Graham Jr.; and so many other loving family and friends. She is predeceased by her father; and her beloved feline companion Bogie.
All are invited on Saturday, August 24 to Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951. Visitation from 11am-1pm and a celebration of Heather's life beginning at 1pm ending with her New Orleans send off per her wishes.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Heather's name can be made to an animal rescue of your choice.
