Harry B. Vasey, 93, formerly of Pennsburg, died Tues. Oct. 6th in Belle Haven Nursing Home, Quakertown. He was the loving husband of the late Ruth G. Vasey for 72 years who went home to her Lord in September. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Harry and Emma (Kavanaugh) Vasey. Harry worked for 40 years for the former Synthane-Taylor Co., Oaks before retiring. During World War II he did 1W service making bandages and working in a hospital. He was the loving father of Joan Esposito, husband Nick of Green Lane, John, wife Fern of Telford, Daniel, wife Kathleen of Greenwood, DE, Patricia Landes-Dunbar of Blossburg, Sharon Phillips, husband Rodney of McKenzie, TN, and Tim, wife Diane of Pennsburg, grandfather of 18, great-grandfather of 33, great great-grandfather of 4, brother to Gloria Clapper of Gettysburg, and a very special uncle to Harry Davis, wife Esther of Green Lane. Harry was predeceased by 4 grandchildren, a great-grandchild and 5 siblings. He was a member of Rocky Ridge Mennonite Church, Quakertown where his services will be held 2 pm Fri. Oct. 16, preceded by a time for family to greet friends from 1 - 2 pm. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Following the interment, a gathering will be held in the church pavilion. You are encouraged to dress warmly. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be made to Crossroads Pregnancy Care Center, 256 Trumbauersville Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951.
