Harold W. Koder, 85, of Quakertown, died Wed, Nov. 23 at Quakertown Center. He was the husband of Marilyn (Renninger) Koder, with whom he had celebrated 60 years of marriage. Born in Richlandtown, he was a son of the late Harold and Mae (Heller) Koder. He graduated from Quakertown High School, Class of '44 and served with the Army Air Corp during WWII. He worked as a clerk for the Quakertown Post Office for 32 years, retiring in 1984. He was a member of First United Church of Christ and Wallace Willard Keller American Legion, both in Quakertown. Surviving with wife, children; Ronald, wife Susan, Quakertown; Brett, wife Debbie, Coopersburg; Linda Manero, husband Richard, Perkasie; Melanie Lister, husband Steve, Ocoee, Fl.; and Deborah Weidemoyer, husband Philip, Berwick; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, brother, Robert Koder, Kutztown; sister, Mary Musselman, Newark, Del. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edwin. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Mon, Nov. 28th in the Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. Call 10:00-11:00 am Mon. in the funeral home. Interment in Quakertown Union Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Alzheimers Association or American Heart Association.
