Harold M. Freed, 81 Quakertown, died Wed. June 27 in LifeQuest Nursing Center. He was the husband of the late Pearl M. (Nice) Freed He worked as a processor for the former Wampler-Longacre, Franconia, before retiring. Previously he worked for CD Moyer, Silverdale and at one time he had a personal market route, delivering milk and eggs in Phila. Born in Franconia Twp. Montgomery Co. he was the son of the late Norman and Elizabeth (Metz) Freed. Mr. Freed was a member of Saucon Mennonite Church, Coopersburg and a former active member of Salem Mennonite Church, Quakertown where he was instrumental in the church planting and served as a trustee, elder and song leader Surviving: sons: Darryl N. (Patti) Quakertown, Robert D. (Cheryl) Grants Pass OR, Phillip N. (Betsy) Coopersburg; daughters: Karen S. (Van) Heslop, Martinsburg, WV, Donna K. (Robert) Gregory, Salisbury, MD; brothers: Marvin (Eunice), Rebersburg, Norman Jr. (Pearl) Perkasie, Paul (Miriam) Bethel; sister: Elizabeth Mae (Nick) Alabanese, Pennsburg; 13 grandchildren and 10 grreat-grandchildren Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tues.
