Hallie Sterner

Hallie J. (Fegley) Sterner, 89, of Coopersburg, died Sat., Feb. 18th, at Arden Courts in Allentown. She was the beloved wife of Leon O. Sterner for the past 65 years. Born in Coopersburg, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Minnie (Huhn) Fegley. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran (Blue) Church in Coopersburg. Hallie graduated from Coopersburg High School in 1945, and she worked as a cashier for Laneco for many years. She was a member and twice past president of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 3405 VFW in Coopersburg. She also loved gardening and baking for her family. With her husband, she is survived by daughters Diane Nace, husband Dennis, of Coopersburg, Debra Laudenslager, husband Barry, of Allentown, and Denise Yost, husband Jerry, of Emmaus; grandchildren Adam, Emily, Sarah, Jerome, Matthew, and Andrew; great-grandchildren Morgan and Hunter; and brother Walter Fegley. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Tyler Laudenslager. Funeral services will be held 11 am on Fri., Feb. 24 at St. Paul's Lutheran (Blue) Church, 5900 Applebutter Hill Rd., Coopersburg. A visitation will precede the service from 9:30-11:00 am at the church. Interment at Woodland Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.
