Grant Fries Heck, 82, of Quakertown, passed away June 21, 2018. He was born July 12, 1935, in Steelton, Pennsylvania, to Alfred and Thelma (Kitzmiller) Heck. Grant graduated from Lebanon Valley College with a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a later earned a Master's degree of Mathematics from Lehigh University. After graduation, he worked at Bethlehem Steel in the Homer Research Laboratory managing a team of researchers. After retiring from Bethlehem Steel, Grant worked at Advanced Development Methods. He then became a commercial and residential realtor for Coldwell Banker Heritage Real Estate in Quakertown. He devoted his time and wisdom to the Service Corps of Retired Executives. Grant was united in marriage with Truda Keller on November 29, 1958. Grant was a loving husband, proud father, uncle, grandfather, and a loyal friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Truda; two sons, Curtis of Bethlehem and Douglas (Suzanne) of Batavia, Illinois; three nephews, Kenneth (Magbis) Green of Reading, Brian (Cheryl) Cuddy of Dauphin, and Michael Cuddy of Pittsburgh; and three grandchildren, Patrick, Ethan, and Piper Heck of Batavia, Illinois. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jacqueline (Heck) Cuddy and a sister-in-law Edith (Keller) Green. A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at 10 a.m. at Chestnut Hill Church, 6870 Chestnut Hill Church Road, Coopersburg, PA, 18036. Following the procession to the gravesite for a laying of carnations, everyone is invited back to Chestnut Hill Church for refreshments and snacks.
