Georgina Mae Brown, age 90, of Quakertown, Pennsylvania passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at St. Lukes Hospice House in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, after a prolonged battle with cancer.
Georgina was born in Troy, Michigan daughter of the late James McIntosh, and Velma Naomi McIntosh (Nee Russell); besides her parents, Georgina was pre-deceased by her husband James, her sister Joyce A. Guyas and brothers, James and John McIntosh.
James and Georgina were happily married for over 61 years and lived in a number of states across the Mid-West and Northeast including Michigan, Connecticut and Virginia, before settling in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. When working Georgina held a number of roles at various medical offices, each with increasing responsibility. On the weekends, James and Georgina enjoyed sailing the waters of Long Island sound.
During retirement, Georgina enjoyed time with her neighbors in the Arbours, playing Mahjong, Friday night with friends, and spending time with her Siamese cat Aramis.
Georgina dearly loved her family and is survived by her son Donald Brown and his wife Jennie Brown, of Lansdale, Pennsylvania. Her Granddaughter, Robin Sakofs, husband Daniel, and Great Grandchildren, Avery and Karl, of Fairfield, Connecticut, and Niece, Debra Hummer, Husband Bob, and their Children; Sarah (Dave) VanNorman, Cody (Allison) Hummer and Bethany (Devin) McHenry and Grandchildren; Maegan, Naomi, Shelby, Garrett, Levi, Emerson and Avonlea Bea.
Georgina’s service will be held at Washington’s Crossing, National Cemetery, 830 Highland Rd, Newtown, Pennsylvania, 18940. February 9, 2024, at 10:30AM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Georgina's name can be made to American Cancer Society or St. Luke's Hospice House.
