George M. "Butch" Vasilik, 75, of Quakertown, passed away suddenly Monday, September 20th, 2021, at St. Luke's - Fountain Hill. Born in 1945, he was the son of the late Stephen and Julia (Mehi) Vasilik.
Butch honorably served his country in the United States Army.
After his service, he worked for many years as a heavy equipment operator for several different companies. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time in the great outdoors. He was a social member of several different local fire companies including Lower Milford, Upper Saucon, and Coopersburg, as well as Ridge and Valley and Kutztown rod and gun clubs.
He is survived by daughter, Rebecca Vasilik of Kempton, sisters, Helen Bartholomew, Rose Holland of Coopersburg, Annamay Brack of Hellertown, sister-in-law Carole Vasilik of Coopersburg, former wife Janice Vasilik, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by siblings Dolores Hysick, Stephen Vasilik, Jr., and Edwin Vasilik.
Services will be held Saturday October 2nd 2021, at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd. Quakertown, PA 18951, at 12:00 PM. A viewing will be held from 11-12 prior to the service.
