George Zachmann

George J. Zachmann, Jr., 79, of Coopersburg, died Tues., June 24 in Hospice House of the VNA - St. Luke's. He was the loving husband of Susan (Daniels) Zachmann for over 14 years. A 1958 graduate of Cornell University, George worked as a chemical engineer for DuPont Chemicals in Wilmington, DE, prior to his retirement in 1991. Born in Suffern, NY, he was a son of the late George J. and Dorothy (Dickens) Zachmann. Surviving with his wife, sons George III, Aiken, SC, and Robert, San Diego, CA; daughters, Kathleen, New Castle, DE, and Joyce, Newark, DE; brother John, Middletown, NY; granddaughter Ashley. He was preceded in death by sister, Mary. Services will be held 11 am Wed. July 2 in the Covenant Presbyterian Church, 310 Covenant Lane, Harleysville. Call Wed. 10-11am in the church.
