George Wright Iii

George B. Wright III, 72, of Coopersburg, died Mon. Dec. 21st at his home. He was the husband of Marlene (Wieder) Weighknecht-Wright. He worked for Mack Trucks in Macungie for 33 years prior to his retirement. Born in North Hills, he was a son of the late George and June Wright Jr. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. George was a past president of the Mack Truck Ski Club and a ski coach with the Special Olympics, Lehigh Co. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Pleasant Valley. Surviving with his wife are step-sons, JR Weighknecht, wife Mary Anne of Crestview, FL and Travis Weighknecht of Center Valley; step-grandchildren, Autumn, Elaina, Wyatt and Carter; brother, William Wright, wife Trudy. Services will be held 11:00 AM Sat. Dec. 26th at Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown. A calling will precede the service from 9:30-11:00 AM.
