George Contros, 73, of Quakertown, died Saturday in the Hospice House of VNA of St. Luke's. He was the husband of the late Karin (Buchwieser) Contros. He owned & operated the former G & B Automotive & Towing, Milford Twp. for over 35 years before closing. He then worked over five years as a deliveryman for the PPI & Millennium Pharmacies. George was a 1955 graduate of Quakertown High School where he established a number of records participating in track & field and played football. Born in Fountain Hill, he was a son of the late Anastasis & Millia (Kostatine) Contros. He was a member of St. Nicolaus Greek Orthodox Church, Bethlehem, Wallace Willard Keller American Legion, Quakertown, the Loyal Order of the Moose, and the Mumbauersville Gun Club. He was instrumental in establishing the former Milford Twp. Ambulance Corp while a member of the former Milford Twp. Lions. Surviving are daughters Stacey Contros Taylor and husband James of State College, and Jacqueline Contros and Tony Manero of Douglassville; grandchildren Alexander Contros, Paisley & Nikolas Taylor; companion & fiancée, Betty Worthington, Quakertown. He was predeceased by brother, Michael. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thurs. Oct 20 in the Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W.
