Gary Vernon Houston, age 74, of Perkasie, Pennsylvania, passed away on Tuesday September 28, 2021 at Doylestown Hospital in Doylestown, PA. Born in Sellersville, PA he was a son of the late William Houston and the late Naomi Gilmour Houston.
Gary graduated from high school in 1962. He then tried to join the army but due to diet restrictions, was discharged the same day he joined. His patriotic heart however never stopped beating for his love for his country.
In recent years he was a traffic control specialist for Flagger Force. He enjoyed checking in on everyone and making sure they were ok. He would call everyone for holidays and be there to help whomever he could. He will be remembered for always wearing his black vest and saying, "Have a great day." He is survived by one brother, Lynn R. Houston and many friends who cared for him in his time of need.
