Frederick John Wennemer, Jr., 75, passed away Saturday, November 20th 2021 at St. Luke's Hospital-Bethlehem. Born in 1946 in Northfield, NJ, he was the son of the late Fred Wennemer, Sr. and Doris (Kaffenberger) Wennemer.
He was the loving husband of Catherine (Kupiec) Wennemer, with whom he shared 48 years of marriage.
Fred served in the United States Army achieving the rank of Infantry Specialist 5th Class. He served in Vietnam from 1969-1970.
Fred earned his Bachelor's Degree from LaSalle University. He then worked as a banker for many years and eventually became Vice President, Senior Commercial Loan Underwriter for Fox Chase Bank in Blue Bell, PA.
Fred was a long-time member at St. Isidore's R.C.C., where he faithfully served as a Eucharistic minister for many years. In his spare time, he also enjoyed fishing, vacationing in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, enjoying a nice cigar, and spending time with his beloved family.
Fred is survived by wife, Catherine, children Fred Wennemer III (Jennifer), Chris Wennemer (Lisa), Thera Wennemer Funk (Jarrod). Siblings Dolores Grayson (Michael) and Robert Wennemer. Grandchildren Kayla and Bennett Wennemer.
A viewing will be held Monday, November 29, 2021 from 5-7 PM at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd., Quakertown, PA 18951. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday December 1, 2021, at St. Isidore's R.C.C., 2545 W Pumping Station Rd, Quakertown, PA 18951. A visitation will be held from 10-11, prior to mass. Burial services will be a private event upon the family's request.
Memorial Contributions in Fred's memory may be made to the church.
