Frederick W. "Fred" Lorenz, 82, of Sellersville died on Friday, February 10, 2017 at Grandview Hospital, Sellersville. He was the loving husband of Patricia J. "Pat" (Gerhart) Lorenz. Born in Shamokin, he was a son of the late Frederick Wilhelm and Pauline (Gessner) Lorenz. He was a graduate of Ashland High School. Fred was employed with Mid-Penn Engineering in Danville for many years, retiring in 2001. He served as a helicopter mechanic in the US Marines during the Korean Conflict. Fred enjoyed the time he spent as an EMT, and was a former boy scout leader. Surviving in addition to his wife Pat are three children: Kim Dietrich, Wildwood Crest, NJ; Keith Lorenz, wife Jami, Wabasha, Minnesota; Kristen Kehs, husband William "Bill", Hellertown; grandchildren: Kathrine, Kelly (Ryan), Michael (Andrea), Phillip Jonathan "PJ", Sebastian River, Matthew, Amanda (Josh), Tyler, Nathan, Andrew and Nicholas; great-grandchildren: Michael, Cameron, Kierra, Cali Rea, Gunner and Tessa Lynn; a sister, Nancy Schaffer, husband Claude, Allentown and a brother, Ronald Lorenz, wife Joan, FL. Memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Monday, February 20 in Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Road, Quakertown, with a calling hour beginning at 6:00 PM. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
