Florence "Flossie" Afflerbach

Florence “Flossie” Alverta Afflerbach, age 98, of Richlandtown, passed away on May 6, 2022, at The Cottage at Phoebe Richland. She was the loving wife to the late Paul Afflerbach and the late Stewart Afflerbach. Born in Richlandtown, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Elsie (Kramer) Mundy.

Flossie worked as a production worker at Crouthamals and also worked at a hosiery mill. Florence enjoyed working in her garden and cleaning for others.

Surviving is her daughter Mary Moyer along with husband Larry, and four grandchildren, Michelle Hoffman (Ed), Michael Moyer (Barbara), Mark Moyer (Jodi), and Melinda (Matthew), eight great-grandchildren, brother Charles Mundy(Bertha) and sister Doris Neiman (the late Dale). She was predeceased by daughter Virginia (Afflerbach) and siblings, Margaret Hackman, Barbara Mae Afflerbach, Eleanor Nace, Raymond Mundy, Harold Mundy, Walter Mundy and Richard “Dick” Mundy.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Durham Cemetery, 821 Durham Road, Riegelsville, PA 18077.

Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory to Phoebe Richland Nursing Home-Memory Care Unit, 108 S Main Street, Richlandtown, PA 18955.
