Festus William Jones

Festus William Jones, 66, of Quakertown, PA, passed away on February 17th, 2025, at St. Luke’s Bethlehem Hospital. Born in Quakertown, Festus was the son of the late Floyd Jones and the late Bernice (Rakauskus) Jones. 

Festus attended Quakertown High School. After High School, he began working as a contractor eventually specializing in 18th Century Barn and Cabin Restoration. He was gifted in his craft and worked all over Bucks County following his passion. 

His passion for life extended well beyond his work, in his free time, Festus enjoyed fishing, boating, hunting, riding his motorcycle, visiting his kids and grandkids, and hanging out with Robin and his friends at the Legion in Quakertown. Fess was an avid storyteller, he loved to make others laugh. He also enjoyed music and a good book.

He was a proud Son of the American Legion and an active member of the Riders of the American Legion and served as Road Captain several years. Above all else, Festus loved his friends and family deeply cherishing the time spent with them. 

Festus will be dearly missed by his partner, Robin Goodwin; his children, Keith Gibialante, Monica Gibialante, Jasmine Jones (Christopher DiPaola), Kara Yaunches (Chris Yaunches), Kelsy Landis (Aaron Landis), Ashlyn Niznik (Andrew Niznik), Ian Jones (Meagan Jones), Kathryn Kaiser (Troy Kaiser), Christopher Jones (Susan Jones), Micah Jones (Carli Jones), Mackenzie DeJesus (Caleb DeJesus), 19 Grandchildren and counting; his brother Duane Jones and his sisters Donna Baker and Kathy Jamison. In addition to his parents, Festus is predeceased by his son Jeremy Gibialante, siblings Velma Sherman, and Kenneth Jones. 

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 1st, from 11:00AM ~ 12:00PM, there will be coffee and light refreshments served, located at East Swamp Church, 2405 E. Swamp Road, Quakertown, PA 18951. A memorial service in honor of Festus will begin at 12:00PM and a luncheon will immediately follow services, located in the church's student center. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Festus’s name to the American Legion, Post 242 and/or East Swamp Church in Quakertown.
