F. Rudolph "Rusty" Brannaka, 84, of Quakertown, PA., died Tues, Feb. 2 in Rockhill Mennonite Community, W. Rockhill Twp. He was the husband of Marjorie (Kilmer) Brannaka. They were married for 58 years last May. Born in Roaring Branch, PA he was son of the late J. Frederick and Adele (Faivre) Brannaka. He was an industrial arts teacher and assistant principal at Pennridge Central Junior High School for 25 years before retiring in 1990. Previously, he was an agricultural and industrial arts (wood shop) teacher for Quakertown Community School District for 17 years. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Quakertown. He was a founding member of the Optimists Club. He was active in the Greenwood Hunting Lodge of Ralston, PA. He was a member of the Boy Scouts Troop #4, Alpha Gamma Ro Fraternity, the PSEA, and the Quakertown Historical Society. He served as past president on the Quakertown Borough Council and had served on the Quakertown Planning Commission. Surviving: wife; sons, Larry of Julian, PA, Eric and wife Valerie of Quakertown; daughter, Kathy Bingaman and husband Mark of Ft. Collins, CO.; grandchildren, Quin, Benjamin and wife Alyssa, Michael, Daniel, Rebecca, Samuel, Ariel, Gabrielle; great-grandchildren, Petra, Channah, Caleb; brother, Charles S. of Trout Run, PA. He was predeceased by brother, Harold E. Memorial service: 11:00 am Sat., Feb. 6 in St. John's Lutheran Church, Quakertown.
