Ernam D. King, 71, of Quakertown, died at his home early Sun., Dec. 17, 2017. He was the loving husband of Sharon (Stoudt) King for 50 years. Born in Banana River, FL, he was the son of the late Ernam F. and Alfreda L. (Kolesinsky) King. Ernie earned his Bachelor's Degree from Moravian University in Bethlehem. He was employed as an accountant for Bethlehem Steel for over 25 years, until the time of their closing. He also loved being a guitar teacher for over 30 years, and he enjoyed using the money he received from teaching to take his family to Disney every year. He was of the Catholic faith, and a talented gardener who loved flowers. Ernie was an avid coin and sports memorabilia collector, especially of Morgan silver dollars and Philadelphia sports teams. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his family, especially his grandsons. Surviving with Sharon are their daughters: Karen Rothrock, husband Eric of Hellertown and Lianne Steffens, husband Donald of Center Valley; grandsons, Brandon Steffens and Michael Howey; a great-grandson on the way, and sisters: Donna Janney, husband Ken; Alfreda King, all of Pensacola, FL and Elaine Carroll, husband Dale of Washington, D.C. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00-7:30 PM Thur., Dec. 21 at Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, Ltd., 135 W. Pumping Station Road, Quakertown. There will be no service.
