Erna Labelle

Erna M. LaBelle, age 92, of Bethlehem, PA, passed away on September 2, 2021, at St. Luke's Anderson Hospital in Easton. She was the loving wife to the late Paul E. LaBelle with whom they shared 53 years of marriage.

Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Francois and Maria (List) Cloes.

She graduated from Saint Bonaventure Catholic Business School in 1946 in Philadelphia.

After graduating from Saint Bonaventure's Business School, Erna worked in Center City Philadelphia until she met her late husband, Paul. They were married in 1947 and Erna spent the next 27 years raising her 4 boys. Erna returned to the work force in 1974 at former Zohlman's Nursing Home in Richlandtown as the House Keeping Supervisor and she retired in 1991. Erna's hobbies included: crocheting, crosswords puzzles, watching game shows, old movies including musicals and going to the casino. Erna was a devout Catholic. She enjoyed family and friends and especially hosting the family and friends gatherings at her Richlandtown home.

Surviving are children Robert E. LaBelle (Kathy Clifford-LaBelle), Edward P. LaBelle (Kathy), and Paul A. LaBelle (Sue), 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and 2 great great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by son Frank L. LaBelle, daughter Marie E. LaBelle, and sister: Betty Zazula.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
