Erman W. "Amos" Martin, Sr., of Quakertown, died Saturday Dec. 22 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Salisbury Twp. He was the husband of the late Glenna (Snyder) Martin who passed away in 2010. Born May 10, 1932 he was the son of the late Grover C. and Minnie (Trumbauer) Martin. Erman worked for the former Fullmer Trucking and the former North Penn Transfer Trucking companies for more than 40 years retiring in 2002. Erman was a member of East Rockhill Chapel, Quakertown. He was also a member of the Teamsters Union, NRA, and the VFW-Sellersville. He was a lifetime member of the Quakertown American Legion Post 242. Erman loved to dance to 50's rock & roll, gardening, NASCAR, hunting, fishing, Western movies, especially ones that starred John Wayne. He was a kind hearted person who loved his family. Survivors: Sons, Ralph Martin, wife Irene; Erman Jr. all of Quakertown; daughters, Dolores Allebach Heverly, Telford, Debra Perott, husband Joseph, Sellersville; Son-in-law, William Dietz of Quakertown, Daughter-in-law, Barbara Martin, Maroa, IL, Brothers; Ralph Martin, Detona, FL, Harold Martin of Quakertown, Grandchildren, William, Brenda, Cheryl, Eric, Jeff, Michael, Ralph, Angela, Leslie, Nicholas, Amber, Bruce, Jennifer, Joseph; 14 Great-grandchildren. Pre-deceased by son; Charles J. Martin, daughters; Doris Dietz and Peggy Martin, sisters Helen Rosenberger and Ida Miller, brothers; William Conway, Charles, Raymond, and John Martin. Services will be held at 10:30 AM Thurs. Dec. 27 in the Jeffrey A. Naugle Funeral & Cremation Service, 135 W. Pumping Station Rd, Quakertown. A viewing will be held Wed. Dec. 26 from 7 until 9 PM and again Thurs. from 9:30 until 10:30 in the funeral home.
