Erika Irvine

Erika E. (Bruckno) Irvine, 94, of Quakertown, died Wed., March 8, 2017 at LifeQuest Nursing Center, Quakertown. She was the widow of Kenneth Irvine, whom she resided with in Bethlehem until his passing in 2002. Born in Germany, she was a daughter of the late August F. and Minna (Satzer) Bruckno. Erika was a homebody and an avid bird watcher. Earlier in life she loved to ballroom dance, and she even made her husband take lessons before she would marry him. She was a former member of Richland Friends Meeting House, Quakertown. Surviving are her children: Walt Shaw, Jr., wife Lynda; Dale Shaw; Glenn Shaw, wife Denise; and Dena Shaw, husband Rich, all of Quakertown; grandchildren: Jason, wife Kelly and Wendy, husband David; great-grandchildren: Tori, Alexander, Madison, Emelyn and Juliana; step-grandchildren: Brooke, husband Joel and Taylor; and step-great-grandchildren: Camryn and Quinn. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Bryan and two brothers; Walter F. and Herbert Bruckno. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions can be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
