Elsie L. Thompson, 101 of Coopersburg, formerly of Sellersville, died Monday, September 8th at her home. She was the wife of the late Timothy Thompson. She worked as a press operator for the former Hunter Spring Division of Ametek, Inc. for many years prior to her retirement in 1978. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ella Semern. She was a member of the Silverdale Brethren in Christ Church, and a member of the former Quakertown Covenant Brethren in Christ Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher and was actively involved in the card ministry. She was also known as an active prayer warrior. Surviving is her son, Harvey, wife Joyce, of Northampton; daughters, Marian Johnson, of Harleysville, Carol Roberts, husband William, of Coopersburg and Donna Grube, of Red Hill; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. She is also remembered by many friends. She was predeceased by a son, James Thompson, daughter, Esther Croissette, two grandchildren and one great grandchild. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 12th at the Silverdale Brethren in Christ Church, 165 W. Main St., Silverdale, PA 18962. Call from 10-11:00 AM at the church. Interment in Silverdale Brethren in Christ Cemetery.
